Potato Paneer Vegetable Canape is a tasty yet healthy choice for all age groups. Vegetable paneer canopies with potato are easy to make, delicious and loaded with nutrients and calories. These bite size snacks are perfect for those who cannot eat a lot at one go but need to fuel the body with healthy nutrients and calories for maintaining healthy body weight.
Potatoes are rich in simple carbohydrates and anything that has potatoes in it is loved by all.
Paneer also known as cottage cheese is rich in protein, calcium and B-vitamins. It also contains healthy fat which make a nutrient dense food product.
Canopies are easily available in the market where in one need not invest a lot of time in making them.
Bundling all of the above with fresh chopped veggies of choice and spices to flavour make this recipe a hit amongst kids as well as elders. Let’s get started with how to make them –
Ingredients:
- Canopies (Wheat based) – 10 to 12 in no
- Boiled Potato – 100 Gms
- Crumbled Paneer – 100 Gms
- Onion Chopped – 1 Small
- Tomato Chopped – 1 Small
- Grated Cheese – ½ Cup
- Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
- Cumin Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
- Red Chilli Powder – ½ Teaspoon
- Garam Masala Powder – ½ Teaspoon
- Ginger Garlic Paste – ½ Teaspoon
- Green Chilli Paste – ½ Teaspoon
- Refined Oil – 2 Tablespoon
- Salt as per taste
- Chopped Coriander – 2 Tablespoons
Method:
- Heat the oil in the pan, to it add cumin seeds and let it crackle
- Add onions and sauté till golden brown
- Now add ginger, garlic and chilli paste and sauté. Once the mixture is properly done add in tomatoes, salt and spices listed above and mix well
- Finally add boiled potato and crumbled paneer and mix properly. Once done set it aside
- Line the canopies in a serving dish or try. Place a tablespoon of above mixture in each.
- Garnish with fresh Coriander Leaves and cheese and serve.
NOTE: Can add olives, avocados, black beans to make a filling for the canopies
