Panchakhadya Recipe | Ganesh Chaturthi Special

Panchakhadya is a Ganesh Chaturthi special prasad recipe that is easy to prepare and made in almost all Maharashtrian households. It is also one of the favourite foods of Lord Ganesha.

Panchakhadya is ideally made from 5 ingredients starting from “Kha” in Marathi such as Khobra (Dry Coconut), Kharik (Dry Dates), Khadi Sakar (Rock Sugar), Khuskhus (Poppy Seeds), Khismis (Raisins). It is a very healthy and nutritious recipe.

The ingredients of the recipe make it rich in healthy fats such as MCT (medium chain triglycerides) that are known to help increase brain glucose utilization, help balance hormones like estrogen and progesterone. MCTs are directly absorbed in the body and therefore give quick energy.
