Keto Butter Chicken | No Carb | Healthy Meal

Chicken is one of the easiest and favorite options for any non-vegetarian individual. On a keto diet incorporating chicken makes it easier to meet the protein requirement without the worry about carbs as it contains almost zero carbs. Keto principles suggest that the food consumed should be high on fat, with adequate intake of protein and low on carbs and this butter chicken recipe just fits the bill. Combining chicken with butter-based gravy is easy to prepare and shall help achieve the requirement of the macros. It is an appropriate choice for individuals who are following a keto diet.

Ingredients:

For Marinating:

  • Cubed Chicken Breast – 150 gm
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Hung Curd – ¼ Cup
  • Olive Oil – 1 Teaspoon

For Gravy:

  • Chopped Tomato – ½ Cup
  • Chopped Onion – ½ Cup
  • Butter – 2 Tablespoon
  • Oil – 1 Tablespoon
  • Fresh Cream – ¼ Cup
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder – as per taste
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Kasuri Methi – 1 Teaspoon
Method:

Marination:

  1. Take a large bowl, and add chicken cubes, garam masala, cumin powder, along ginger-garlic paste.
  2. Add hung curd and mix it well. Set it aside to refrigerate for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over a medium flame and drizzle some oil.
  4. Place the marinated chicken over the pan and cook, on each side for 3-5 minutes until the juice runs out.
  5. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a separate dish and keep it aside.

Preparation:

  1. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the same pan over a low to medium flame.
  2. Add the chopped onion and the remaining ginger garlic paste.
  3. Add the chopped tomato, fresh cream, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt.
  4. Cook the marinated chicken pieces in the pan, stirring occasionally, until the chicken pieces are nicely cooked.
  5. Add the kasuri methi and adjust the salt as per taste, Turn off the heat & serve hot.
