Healthy Chocolate Spread

Chocolate spread is loved by all be it adults or kids. But, it also comes with a lot of unwanted calories from added sugar and oil added to it.

This healthy chocolate & almond spread is made from almonds which highly nutritious and rich in healthy monounsaturated fats, protein, fibre and various vitamins and minerals. They are best source of vitamin E an antioxidant which has numerous health benefits. Dates are naturally sweet, high in fibre and antioxidants.

 

Ingredients:

  • Almonds – 25-30 nos.
  • Melted Dark Chocolate – 50 gms
  • Dates – 6-8 nos.
  • Cocoa Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Milk – ¼th cup

 

Method:

  1. Use a blender to blend the almonds until they are a smooth. At first the nuts get turned into powder, continue blending till the powder turns into a smooth nut butter.
  2. Remove the seeds from the dates and blend them together with the nut butter.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate into the nut and date mixture and mix well.
  4. Add the cocoa powder and milk to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour the healthy chocolate spread into the cleaned jar and keep it refrigerated.
