This Egg paratha recipe is perfect healthy breakfast as it will keep you full as its rich in protein. The whole wheat contains good amounts of carbohydrates that will keep you energized for many hours after a meal. It is also rich in calcium and phosphorous needed for good bone health. Combined with eggs, the paratha are rich in protein making them perfect post workout snack.
This egg paratha recipe is not only nutritious but also tasty & filled with deliciousness. Add in your own spices and ingredients to experiment and twist the recipe to make it a delight.
Ingredients:
- Whole Wheat Flour – 1 cup
- Egg – 2 Whole
- Chopped onions – ¼ cup
- Chopped green Chilli – 1
- Red Chilli powder – 1 Teaspoon
- Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoon
- Ghee – 1 Tablespoon
- Salt – as per taste
Method:
To make Paratha Dough:
- In a bowl, add wheat flour and add little salt.
- Add some warm water and knead the mixture into a smooth dough
- Divide the dough into 2-3 parts and make small balls out of it.
To Cook Paratha:
- Roll out the dough by dusting it with dry flour.
- For stuffing, in a bowl break eggs, add onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, red chilli powder and salt.
- Mix it well and keep aside.
- Placed the rolled paratha on hot tawa. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes on both the sides. Once it starts to puff up switch off the gas.
- Make a slit in the side of paratha where it is joined from seams, tilt the paratha and pour ¼th of mixture in to paratha pocket.
- Carefully slid back paratha into horizontal position and let it cook. Switch on the heat and allow to cook till the egg mixture cooks completely.
- Cook the paratha until crispy and golden brown from both the sides.
- Cut it into 4 pieces and serve hot.
