Dinkache Ladoo or Gond ke laddu have always been a traditional snack for lactating mothers. Gond is known to be a galactagogue it helps to increase breast milk productions. It is also rich in fiber that helps to be fuller for a longer time and relive constipation as it also has laxative properties. Gond / Dink contains calcium and magnesium which helps to lubricate your joints and develop strong bones.
Ingredients
Gond / Dink – ½ Cup
Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
Powdered Sugar – ½ Cup
Chopped Almonds – ¼ Cup
Chopped Pistachios – ¼ Cup
Raisins – 2 Tablespoons
Elaichi Powder – pinch
Ghee – ½ Cup
Method
- Heat Ghee in a kadhai preferably iron or aluminium avoids using nonstick kadhai as the gond may get stick to the nonstick pan.
- Fry the gond evenly till it puffs up
- Remove the puffed gond / dink and keep it aside for a while. Further, grind or crush the fried gond to a coarse powder
- Roast wheat flour evenly in the same ghee on a low flame till it turns golden or slightly brown.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add all the remaining ingredients and mix it well, and don’t let any lumps to be in it
- When the mixture is still and the heat is tolerable, add the remaining ghee so it is able to bind. Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it in a round laddoo.
- Garnish it with nuts and raisins and serve
