Dal paratha is the perfect snack to be made in the breakfast or any meals. It’s a simple recipe that is rich in protein and super filling and enjoyed by everyone from kids to elderly.
Regular dals are made from mixture of lentils that are rich source of protein. Many of us, at least once a week, have leftover dal in the refrigerator and none of us is ready to finish it. Well in such scenario, this recipe will save you as it is a very easy to prepare meal with little creativity.
Ingredients:
Leftover Thick Dal – 1 cup
Wheat Flour – ½ cup
Besan / Gram Flour – ¼ cup
Chili Powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Chopped Green Chili – 1 small
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Salt – As per taste
Method:
- In a bowl, take pre-prepared dal, to it add wheat flour, besan, spices, salt as required and make soft dough using the moisture from the dal. Use little water if required to soften the dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls in equal portions.
- Roll it with some dry wheat into paratha.
- Heat a non-stick pan.
- Place the paratha on the pan and cook from both sides using little oil till it turns golden brown.
- Serve hot with green chutney, curd or ketchup.
NOTE: You can also cook fresh dal and add vegetables to it and follow the same method.
