Chia is an edible seed belonging to the mint family. It is a good source of omega 3 fatty acids, calcium, manganese, phosphorous and zinc. Chia seeds are added to smoothies, energy bars, breads, etc. to enhance their nutritive value.
Described below is a super easy to make drink which is ready in 2 minutes and keeps you full to avoid unnecessary calories.
Ingredients:
- Chia Seeds – 1 tsp
- Ginger – 1 inch crushed
- Lemon Juice – 2-3 tsp
- Rock Salt – as per taste
- Water – 200 ml
- Mint – if preferred
Method:
- Mix the above ingredients.
- Chia needs a minimum soaking time of 30 minutes.
- Enjoy your refreshing healthy drink.
